For a current snowmobile report, call 800.242.4569 (press 2, then 5) With 600 miles of groomed trails over rolling foothills, open meadows and majestic State forestlands, Chautauqua County is a snowmobilers paradise. Trails are generally open from mid-December to late March or even April, groomed by members from five local clubs. These dedicated sledders cooperate with hundreds of private landowners and utilize 16 full size groomers to maintain safe and smooth riding conditions on more than 300 miles of corridor and secondary trails and 300 miles of club trails throughout Chautauqua County. Along the trailheads, service stations, restaurants and accommodations provide convenient access to amenities.
Area clubs rely on annual membership dues in order to properly maintain trail systems, and visitors to the area are welcome and encouraged to join. Contact one of the clubs listed below to purchase a county-wide trail map or to support efforts to improve snowmobiling conditions for your next snowmobiling trip.
