Wine and art have long traditions and they create a natural pairing for a weekend which pairs learning about wines with learning about art.

For this new event, the Wine Trail is collaborating with the Chautauqua-Lake Erie Art Trail (www.chautauquaarttrail.com) and the North East Arts Council to bring local artists of various media to the participating wineries.

For the wineries with sufficient space, artists will be on hand creating works and answering questions. Art will also be available for sale during the two-day event. The Wine and Art Trails will be publishing a list of wineries and artists who will be in situ during the Event – check for this on-line.

Matchmaker, Matchmaker

Matchmakers in this pairing of wineries and artists were Thomas Annear, artist and Exec. Director of the Art Trail and Ruthie Martin, VP of the North East Arts Council. They compared requests of wineries and space requirements and preferences of artists to “marry up” the artists and wineries for this event.
