Even though fall is here and winter is coming, there is still much to do. You can go walking, running, hiking, bicycling, cross country skiing, bird watching (over 170 species identified) and horseback riding on the Chautauqua Rails to Trails. Chautauqua Rails to Trails is perserving abonded rail corridors  for conversion into safe off-road trails for the above mentioned recreational use.

If you enjoy snowmobiling there are  450 miles of groomed snowmobile trails through out Chautauqua County.They are usually open by 3rd week in December and can remail open until March or April. Remember that all residents of NY and Non NY residents MUST register there sleds to ride in NY.You can visit www.dmv.ny.gov/recreation.htm#snowmobiles for registration forms and other information.
