Spring is on the horizon and you maybe wondering what events are coming up in Chautauqua County.

1. The weekends of March 21-22 and March 28-29 visit our local sugar houses for NY states Maple Weekend, which is a state wide open house promoting maple syrup producers.Go to our local maple producers; Clear Creek Farm in Mayville, Big Tree Maple in Lakewood, and Fairbanks Maple in Forestville that are participating and see sap as it boils, sample maple candy, or savor warm syrup with a pancake breakfast. 

2.Head to Peek’n Peak Resort for a variety of activities in addition to spring skiing, tubing and boarding. For those of you who love golf, the golf season starts May 21st at the Peek.

3.If you are a Birdwatcher,there are many opportunities this Spring.Birdwatchers will delight in the opportunities provided by migratory patterns from March to May. With its position on the southeastern shores of Lake Erie, Chautauqua County is a prime spot for raptors and migratory birds before embarking on their journeys across Lake Erie.
